Vivo Cycling Previews All-Aluminum 12-Speed Derailleur
Another fun art/engineering project with no chance of commercial success. Just because you can doesn't mean you should, unless you really are expecting it to only be an art project/engineering demo.

Hidden Treasures From the 'For Sale' Fence at Sea Otter 2024
@blackthorne: Bunny hopping and pogo sticking on the ride downhill from the pub - not really a good idea. On the way to the pub, sure.

Hidden Treasures From the 'For Sale' Fence at Sea Otter 2024
I bought a Mantra found dirt cheap on Craigslist a few years ago as a pub bike, for the same nostalgic reasons many have posted here. That thing was godawful to actually ride, especially FROM the pub. All weird angles and floppy, flexy suspension. I was not sad at all when it was stolen from the pub. Now on a beach cruiser for pub runs.

First Ride: Fox Releases New Grip X & Grip X2 Dampers
Same. I have an old Motion Control fork that's been on 5 bikes and works like new. One key is that they're easy and cheap to service frequently, so I do. No proprietary bladders or special tools required.

First Look: Crankbrothers Release SOS Line of Trailside Repair Tools
I appreciate all the engineering and thought that went into this and similar tools. But after a wet winter and extra muddy spring, I’ll be keeping similar tools plus a Tubolito in my tiny seat bag that’s closed up and rides up high, not directly exposed to the trail muck. Having all these things exposed on a daily basis doesn’t seem like a good idea. Plus I can very easily switch the little seat bag to another bike. Not trying to be a progress-resistant curmudgeon, but I just don’t see any advantage to this over a small, well-sealed seat bag that I actually use on a trail about once per year.

Men's Category of Slopestyle Will Not Proceed - Crankworx Rotorua 2024 [Updated with FMBA Statement]
@jsnfschr: Quote from Golf Monthly: "All exempt players on the PGA Tour are guaranteed $500,000 against earnings. But it’s not a salary. It’s a base level. Exempt PGA Tour players will receive $500,000 (rookies can claim it up front) and they only start to collect prize money when they earn more than that $500,000 base." And if they earn less than $500k, they don't have to give back any money. Pretty sure one PGA player's base is more than the entire pool of prize money in all slopestyle events plus any three other MTB disciplines.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Use Your Climb Switch?
I need both buttons - undulating terrain and DW-link. I ride undulating terrain and got so tired of flipping the damn switch that I bought a DW-link bike. Problem solved.

@browner: Umm, if you've replaced the rims, spokes and hubs those are not the same wheels.
